Location | Based primarily in Pretoria at the Netball South Africa Head Office. |
Hours | Full time as the role requires 40 hours per week. Due to the nature of the post some weekend work will be necessary. |
Job purpose | To manage and lead on the procurement process for all the national teams and the SPAR Protea team merchandising, and internal kit, manage related sales and marketing. |
Remuneration | Salary, dependent on skills and experience.
Company laptop will be provided |
Role Accountabilities & Key Duties | |
1 | To manage and co-ordinate the selection, purchase, and marketing of merchandise goods for the national teams. |
2 | To maintain and regularly update stock levels, and records, in the national team storage facility. |
3 | To build long-term strategic partnerships with all key suppliers and manage these relationships proactively. |
4 | To negotiate, and re-negotiate, with current suppliers not sponsored. |
5 | To co-ordinate non-branded merchandise sampling and selection. |
6 | Keep SPAR Protea clothing together with an inventory and manage the needs. |
7 | Keep all TNL clothing together with an inventory and manage the needs. |
8 | To manage and co-ordinate the training/match wear for the national teams and liaising with the relevant national team staff. |
9 | Manage the dry cleaning and washing of the merchandise after events. |
10 | To liaise with the CEO on sponsorship artwork for merchandising, particularly onreplica shirts. |
11 | To keep record of merchandise coming in and going out and of all the sponsors Logos and guidelines for branding of clothing |
12 | To liaise and communicate with any branding consultants as appointed by Netball South Africa. |
13 | To create a positive work environment in the Netball South Africa National Team structures. |
14 | To develop a working knowledge of industry legislation and guidelines. |
15 | To manage and co-ordinate the training /match wear for SPAR Protea team, Male team, and related staff, liaising with the sponsor’s kit person, and other team kit staff as well as for TNL |
16 | To attend weekly staff meetings, and other meetings as necessary.
To Liaise with finance committee on promotion of merchandise and retail, and devise sales and marketing strategies |
17 | To follow internal operational procedures, particularly, but not confined to, purchase order and finance transaction procedures. |
18 | To start an online shop for NSA for replica merchandise.
To oversee and manage the NSA online store. |
19 | To carry out all duties in accordance with staff policies, procedures, and best practices.
Be able to assist with other duties when needed “runner”. |
20 | Further duties as required by the CEO. |
