Netball South Africa’s broad vision seeks to position themselves as the premier netball organisation in the country and on the African continent, while also being the most respected and professional women’s sport organisations in South Africa.
To achieve this, Netball SA has set their organisational goals to:
• Run the federation as a business with clear performance dividends • Foster financial sustainability through commercialisation and resource leveraging • Improve sound corporate governance • Professionalise netball and the create a professional Premier League • Foster a progressive “switched on” organisation with intent and visionary leadership • Bolster capacity building • Boost infrastructure development • Improve communication, stakeholder management and international relations.
These priorities and vectors will underpin the locomotive functionality and performance of netball in the country, with annual targets, outcomes, and impact. The process marks a fundamental shift in mental models of managing netball. This new impetus will lift netball, as a sport, to greater heights, and performance excellence. Both the Council and management of Netball South Africa remain resolute in achieving this vision and changing the game.
