Statement regarding recent media reports

16 April 2024 , Pretoria – Netball South Africa (NSA) notes with concern the recent reports in the media regarding the Gauteng Netball Association (GNA) disbandment and the KwaZulu-Natal Netball Federation (KZNN)‘s Constitutional dispute.

Both the GNA and KZNN have opted to take their matters externally, and not to exhaust internal remedies.

NSA holds its members accountable and will continue to do that as part of ensuring organisational excellence and sound corporate governance.

KZNN disputed the NSA constitutional amendments after it was adopted by council, and the matter is going for an arbitration.

We reiterate that the Rule of Law must prevail in all cases, and NSA remains a federation of integrity, good governance and administration.

In conclusion, NSA wishes to focus on its 10 (ten) Game Changers which are:

Game Changer 1: Professionalisation of Netball
Game Changer 2: Sound Corporate Governance
Game Changer 3: Financial Sustainability and Commercialisation
Game Changer 4: Capacity Building, Skills Development, and Innovation
Game Changer 5: Organisational Excellence
Game Changer 6: Transformation and Empowerment
Game Changer 7: Effective Tournament Management
Game Changer 8: Infrastructure Development
Game Changer 9: Stakeholder Management and International Relations
Game Changer 10: Communication, Marketing and Brand Management
