The SPAR National Netball Championships are South Africa’s premier annual inter-district netball tournament and the largest competition of its kind in the country. Hosted by Netball South Africa in partnership with SPAR, the championships bring together the nation’s top senior and under-21 district teams, providing a platform for competition, talent identification and player development. Botswana and Namibia will also be participating as invitational sides competing in friendly matches in the Senior A division.
For decades, the tournament has served as a stepping stone for many of South Africa’s current and former SPAR Proteas, while also creating opportunities for coaches, umpires and technical officials to develop at the highest domestic level.
Beyond the court, the championships champion social impact through SPAR’s #EndGBVF and #EndPeriodPoverty campaigns, reinforcing a shared commitment to empowering women and girls, promoting equality, and using sport as a catalyst for positive change.
The SPAR National Netball Championships will be played at Stellenberg High School in Cape Town, from 6-11 August 2026.
